The First Project Proposal for 2009. YIKES

For my first project I would like to make a small series of comical self-portraits about 3-4 channels. Each video may be thirty seconds to one full minute long. The content of the video will deal with racial comments and lack of knowledge with the English language and life’s funny ways. My goal for this project is just to take a lighthearted side to my self-portraits and have fun and enjoy the funny yet controversial side of life, and maybe help others to not take themselves so seriously and shrug things of their shoulders and enjoy themselves.

feel good videos, yeah!

SKETCH SKETCHY

AAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

(trying to figure out how to use builtin camera as a video cam. )

all ladies

Ian (be still) is very mesmerizing and calming and those are a few of the qualities that I really enjoyed about the piece. I also really enjoyed the colors in but mainly the work process that was put into this piece fascinates me. The way Joey takes a found image and makes it come alive is brilliant.

I also enjoyed Guillermina zabalas’ state of disunion. The quotes on the wall seemed to explain some of the frustration and angst in the video. But the mainly I see the work as if it were capturing a performance yet works very well as a video.
